There are more than 200,000 students and only 700,000 inhabitants. Not only the Poles study in Krakow. Students from all over the world also come here, mainly because of Erasmus student exchange, contributing to a cosmopolitan character of the city.
Academic and infrastructural offer of the city, has also gained Krakow an international recognition and one of the top places on the “Top 50 Emerging Global Outsourcing Cities” list, published by the consulting company Tholons. In 2015, Krakow took the 4th place in this ranking and the 1st in Central and Eastern Europe as an attractive location for corporate business process outsourcing (BPO).
