Piotr Romanowski – Chairman of the Board

Dr. Piotr Romanowski has graduated with PhD in Genetic Engineering from Gdansk University, and PhD in Molecular Biology from Cambridge University, specializing in cancer biology.

Dr. Romanowski has 10 years of experience in consulting in the areas of management and banking. Previously Dr. Romanowski worked as a Partner at McKinsey & Company, specializing in strategy, restructuring and capital transactions, he supported the two largest mergers in the oil industry in Central Europe, as well as clients from the pharmaceutical and health industry. Dr. Romanowski was also a Board Member at Millennium SA responsible for Corporate Banking, and a Partner at Metropolitan Capital Solutions.

Currently, Dr. Romanowski is a Partner at PwC and leads PwC Consulting and Deals/M&A business in CEE/CIS.

Tadeusz Wesołowski – Vice Chairman of the Board

Dr. Tadeusz Wesolowski has graduated with PhD in Technical Sciences from Warsaw University of Technology. After receiving his diploma he worked at university to obtain the position of a lecturer. In 1990 he founded and managed PROSPER, company which for more than 17 years has been one of the leading pharmaceutical distributors in Poland. The company started its operations from importing parapharmaceuticals and OTC drugs from Western Europe, gradually expanding the range and scope of activities to the distribution of pharmaceuticals. Dr. Wesolowski consistently advised and participated in the creation of new ventures in the pharmaceutical market.

Rafał Chwast – Board Member

Mr. Rafal Chwast is a graduate of Cracow University of Economics (Accounting) and the AGH Technical University in Krakow (Computer Science).

In years 1997-2007 he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Comarch. He was responsible for financial supervision of group’s subsidaries, raising capital through the stock exchange for companies Comarch and Interia.pl, and the acquisition of the company CDN, now one of the key departments of Comarch. In years 2003-2006 he served as CEO of the Association of Stock Exchange Issuers (the organization representing the environment of the stock exchange listed companies), and was also a member of the Capital Market Council (the expert group operating as consultants for the Prime Minister).

Currently, he is also a member of the Board and Chief Financial Officer at the New Style group, a furniture producer and a Member of the Supervisory Board of a stock exchange listed company NG2.

Wojciech Chabasiewicz – Board Member

Mr. Wojciech Chabasiewicz graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration, Jagiellonian University and was entered on the list of Legal Counsels in 2005.

Between 2005 and 2009 he was a Partner at the law firm Tomasik, Chabasiewicz & Partners LP. Currently he is a partner at the Chabasiewicz, Kowalska and Partners LP. Since the very beginning of his professional career, Mr. Chabasiewicz has been advising on the public and private stock and bond issues, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring transactions. He also deals with all types of investigations related to corporate conflicts. Additionally, Mr. Chabasiewicz specializes in company law, capital markets and securities, mergers and acquisitions, as well as in issues related to bankruptcy and restructuring.

Wojciech Sobieraj – Board Member

Mr. Wojciech Sobieraj is a graduate of the Foreign Trade Department of SGH Warsaw School of Economics and since holds MBA degree from the New York University, Stern School of Business.

In 1991 -1994, Mr. Sobieraj obtained a brokerage license on Wall Street and worked as an assistant in the Department of Finance and Operations at New York University. From 1997 to 2002 he was an employee, manager, and partner of The Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”) in Boston and London and one of the founders of the BCG office in Warsaw, where he was nominated as a partner and Vice President. During his career in BCG he was also a Director of Financial Services in Central and Eastern Europe. From his responsibilities Mr. Sobieraj is very experienced in the field of acquisitions and mergers and the market of bank payments. In the years 2002 – 2006 he was the Vice President of the Management Board of Bank BPH S.A., where he was heading retail banking division. Mr. Wojciech Sobieraj is a founder of Alior Bank S.A. where from 2008 to June 2017 he held the position of the President of the Management Board. He built the bank structure from its foundations combining principles of traditional banking with innovative technological solutions.

Many times Mr. Sobieraj was honored with the title of the best banker and manager in Poland.
